Bless you all today,

With all spiritual blessings we can rejoice! Remember Isaiah 9:6? We have been looking at some attributes of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is Emmanuel, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, and now we will see Him as Everlasting Father. I am excited to know the names of my Lord because it opens my heart and mind to His Bigness!

Everlasting, eternal Father, as His name is called. He is permanent, ceaseless, endless and continual. So, He is by no means common as we know our earthly fathers is He? I love my earthly father even with all his shortcomings, I know he did his best in raising the four of us kids. I only had to raise two, so, double the responsibility.

When I realized through reading the Word that Jesus Christ was fully man and also fully God this was hard for me to grasp. Like holding onto a rope that you know will be your life support as you climb that mountain. You know it is best for you, but the thought of whether or not it will hold you is another matter for me altogether. There is a bit of anxiety in my mind. I just keep holding onto the Word of God because it is all the truth I have. This little word picture may not strike home to you, that's okay. The main thing is that when we hold onto Jesus we get the benefit of holding onto God and also have His Spirit within us to help climb those mountains!

I want, and I am sure you do too, to have a knowing relationship, and intimate walk with the Lord Jesus. A good place to start is in John 1:1-2..." In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God."

To know the Everlasting Father we have to accept His Son as our Savior. He then forgives all our sins so we can be in His Holy presence, fills us with His Holy Spirit and sends us on our journey with fresh life. Sounds pretty simple? It is and it is free. How many other relationships are you in that have no strings attached? I personally haven't found one. That is because God's love is so vast and way beyond our understanding. I ask Him to fill me with love like that. My flesh gets in the way, sadly.

The best way to get to know our creator is to read His Word. As you know, I am no theologian!  The Holy Spirit has to point the way and teach me. I want to give you some scriptures I found! You can look them up on your time. So, John 1:1 tells us Jesus is God. He also did works that only God could do such as, forgive sins...Mark 2:7. He can create...Colossians 1:16. He has the attribute of truth that only God could have...John 14:6. He is omniscient...John 2:24-25. And, He claimed equality with God...John 10:30.

These are just a few things to consider when we approach the throne of Grace. He is Holy. Jesus is not a swear word. He is not a scapegoat. What He is then is Everlasting Father. The kind of Father that each one of us needs to help us get through life here. I praise the Lord that because of His complete humanity He knows how to be compassionate and sympathetic toward us.

Do you see how much God gave so that we could have  personal, intimate fellowship with Him? So, if you are looking for a father that is perfectly intune to your hearts longings, take time to call on His name. He is open handed to recieve you. He doesn't come after us with a closed fist or in anger that we finally made this decision but, He offers true love. When we accept His hand then we get to spend eternity with Him, perfectly united in Christ Jesus our Lord.

One last thing I want to ask. Are you ready to meet Him face to face without shame? He will return and at that time my Bible tells me that in Hebrews 14:11..."For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God [acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise]." You can find this again in Philippians 2:10.

As we have been given His undeserved grace and favor, let us turn our hearts over to His keeping. You won't regret it! God bless you today as you surrender all that is in your life to Everlasting Father.

Abundance is...He loves us so much!
