Good morning

I pray that you are well and trusting the One Who made you. If you have been hit with anxiety and the attacks of the enemy seem overwhelming then I bring you good news. We are not, no never alone!

Philippians 4:6-7 is often a place I run to. It says, "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

That was a mouth full of wisdom! We are given the recipe, remedy and result of leaving our anxiety with the Father. No matter where we are living on this planet, God our Father, knows and sees every detail. Why then, do we try to do it on our own? Read the scripture again and let it sink down deep into your soul. Take it personal!

I had a really rough, sleepless night. This happens too often and over time I become really tired and unable to function through the day. I have been there before. It was a physical problem that needed attention; my adrenals were shutting down. This morning at some point I asked Jesus to help me. Really, more like a teary plea for help, with my promise to trust Him. I believe He gave me a word of knowledge to check those adrenals once again. It hadn't even crossed my mind! I do know He is able to heal me, so there is that tugging back and forth. Testing showed that my adrenals were weak, in trouble and they needed support again. One of the attacks on the adrenals is due to stress! Yes, anxiety of any kind.

So, I will trust Him and allow my body to heal sufficiently in His sufficiency. This means I have as much as is needed. In Him we have as much as is needed! Lord, help me keep my eyes on You!

When I found that I am not alone as I face troubles I found peace. Romans 8:26 shows us..."So too  the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance." We are assured and know that God's plan is good and will be completed. Again, no worries.

You can read about our High Priest, Jesus, in Hebrews 7. In verse 25, we are told that He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.  That is for you and I. Verse 26 says, "[Here is] the High Priest [perfectly adapted] to our needs, as was fitting---holy, blameless, unstained by sin, separated from sinners, and exalted higher than the heavens." We serve a mighty Lord! He is on your side. Let us take sides with Him.

Ephesians 2:14 says, "For He is [Himself] our peace..." Peace is the opposite of anxiety! The peace of God does pass all understanding. Sometimes, as I only look through eyes of flesh I have to ask Him to open my spiritual eyes. We can know this peace as Holy Spirit fills us with more and more of God's love. We gain understanding for every need when we turn to Him as our source.

You might be feeling anxious over the cold weather, no power, poor water, little or lack of food on your selves. I have experienced the anxiety of these at different times. They were short lived I am glad to say, but at the time they appeared like huge mountains in front of me. Trials do that. So again, run to Jesus, cry your heart out to Him and He will show you the next step. It may be to do nothing but, I can guarantee that He is working on your behalf as you bring Him the whole of you.

Can we pray together? Dear Father, You see the hearts in so many places dealing with unspeakable troubles. I am grateful that You know what is in our hearts today. Without the words, Holy Spirit explains our longings before You. Thank you for this sacrifice of love through Jesus. I know we would be lost without Him. Press us into the final work of Your plans. Take us layer by layer and deeper, to make us usable in the Kingdom. You understand. So, we trust You with our lives today and will step where You lead us. In the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

You are in my prayers today. I hope you experience the presence of the Lord in every situation. He is your Life, Light and perfect peace. God be with you till we meet again.

Abundance is...abiding in God's peace
