 Good evening family and friends,

Was there anytime today that you felt like you were forsaken? Here is something you should know if you are a believer in Christ Jesus. When He became your Salvation, this promise also became yours.

Deuteronomy 31:8 says, "It is the Lord who goes before you; He will [march] with you; He will not fail you or let you go or forsake you; [let there be no cowardice or flinching, but] fear not, neither become broken [in spirit-depressed, dismayed, and unnerved with alarm]."

How wonderful is this promise? All wonderful as you allow God's promise to sink in and become your lifestyle. A promise from Him will never change with time or circumstance. Jesus told the disciples this same thing in the Gospels. He is speaking to us today. Do not fear. He will never leave you.

What are you concerned with tonight? Is tomorrow a cause for alarm? I know we are seeing so much in the news that could make our hearts beat faster. Whether about the government or the things happening in nature that we cannot control. Do not fear. He will never leave you.

Sometimes all the mess and drama makes me want to lift up my hands and say, "I want to just run away." But, where could I go? Well, today I did have to make a trip to town. On the way home I decided to turn onto Lost Horse Road. My granddaughter was with me and the fog was lifting so we could almost see the mountains. I had such a longing to get out and walk. So, we did. I parked the van on the side of the road and we got out and walked a ways.

It was quiet, and so very different than living in town. The air was brisk, well, actually very, very cold. The sun was trying to lift the fog and so we could feel the warmth on our backs. Great! No problem. That is until we headed east to the van again. Wow! What a difference to have the wind at your back! Now, the wind was face on and bitter! So, we did what anyone with a brain would do...we walked faster!

After driving back toward the highway I noticed a dark movement off in the pasture to the south. I slowed and then stopped because a herd of about 50 elk were coming toward the fence. Their gait was pretty fast and I figured they intended to jump the fence, cross the road and jump into the facing pasture and hill. We were in awe! They were magnificent creatures as they seemed to glide over the fences. All but the last four. Very young, barely able to see over the fence. So, they had to go back and make a run for it. It wasn't as easy as the adults made it to be. Finally, the last one made it clumsily over.

You know what really caught my attention was that every elk on the other side turned to watch as a group for the last little ones to make it safely. It made me think that is how awesome our Father is with His children. Some of us are new to the family of God, so need patience and love and encouragement. Some are older in the Lord and wait for others to catch up. They disciple, teach and encourage the young ones. What a wonderful family we live in!

Do you think it is unreasonable for the new born in the Kingdom to fear sometimes? No, in fact fear can effect anyone at any stage in life. Sometimes just with a change of scenery and that fence that looked pretty small, until we got closer. Yet, we know that we can trust in the Lord, turn to His Word and make it our own. WE can glide over that fence!

Instead of lifting up my hands in frustration over a situation, I am to lift up my eyes to the Lord and my hands in worship to Him. He is calling me to trust, obey, seek and abide in Him. Can I do this? Absolutely! Is my path brightly lit all the time. Nope. But, I can trust the Light of the Lord.

Remember the story I shared yesterday? The she, was me. We all have a road to walk and we all have to place our faith in the One Who made us and knows what is best for us. No matter how messed up we have lived. God can do a new thing and change us! We will get there. He promised to finish what He started in us. I am forever grateful for this promise!

Romans 8:28, another promise..."WE are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose." Amen.

We don't have to ever feel forsaken, ever! God is just a whisper away and sometimes that is all the breath we have. But, He knows. God is so good. Will you tell Him you believe this? I am sure He would love to hear your voice.

Don't worry okay? It is going to be alright, the Father promised. So, let's pray for one another as we part tonight. I look forward to seeing you again. God bless you and keep you in the Beloved. In Christ's precious name, amen.

Abundance is...no worries
