 Dear family of God,

Praise the Lord with me today for our salvation! On this truth we can stand.

Yesterday I went for a very long walk with my grandchildren. The first part was simple compared to the last hour. Without the steadiness of my grandson beside me, I would have fallen. Walking in deep snow in the wrong shoes is a bad idea. After two hours of trudging, slipping, twisting I was about ready to give up. My body hurts still today. Had I the proper footwear, things would have been better.

Just like getting to know the Gospel of Jesus. WE need that steady, strong word of the Lord to guide us and keep us from falling. There are so many questions that we could ask. Only one answer is the right answer. God's holy word.

How can we expect to give an answer for the hope that is in us if we haven't experienced Hope in Jesus? During our stay on earth we are given God's promises to stand on. Applying the Word of Truth in our everyday situations. We become wise and can reflect His grace to a dying and lost world. To give them the Good News.

Applying the Word of Truth is like having on the proper shoes. It even says in Ephesians 6:15, "And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace." This is part of our armor!

Prepared, and ready to face the enemy at every turn...are you? It doesn't mean that we are hunting demons around every corner. It does mean that at any time they can apply the pressure to get us to crumble to the ground. Whether by someone's words of disapproval or even lack of kindness and consideration in our own family. There is always a reason to put on the shoes God has for us. He is our peace.

Be prepared to know what you stand for. What you believe. We have a God-given tool in our hand, the Bible. And the power of the Holy Spirit to guide us in all truth. If you believe you are saved by His grace did you have to present a perfect resume? Did you have to get cleaned up before coming to Him?

Titus 3:5-7 gives us the answer. "He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration0 and renewing of the Holy Spirit, which He poured out [so] richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. [And he did it in order] that we might be justified by His grace (by His favor, wholly undeserved), [that we might be acknowledged and counted as conformed to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action], and that we might become heirs of eternal life according to [our] hope."

There is a whole lot of amunition there! Isn't it wonderful that we can know the Lord Jesus Christ even without seeing Him face to face? I am so grateful that Jesus did the work for me! And, He will continue to work. Amen? The enemy of our souls has no power except what we give him. That must be why we are not to lean on our own understanding or wallow in the past. Hope is not found in the past but our future!

Our prayers for the lost is not lost. While there is time we need to keep those shoes on and be ready to share the Gospel of Peace. There is no other peace we can offer but the peace of Jesus. Peace comes as we come to Him, take that cleansing bath and worship Him.

Our salvation is not guaged on how much I love Him, but in how much He loves me. If you are finding that you can't seem to get out of a victim mentality remember; we are not victims in this life, only by our own choices. So, let's run to Jesus and discover how much He loves us! He is our hope and He will conform our thoughts to His perfect will. Our minds can be free today. In the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

God bless you and remember you are not alone. Though you have slipped in the past, today you can walk with His hand in yours. His everlasting Love will steady you when the ground is unstable. Praise Jesus today!

Abundance is...a peaceful walk
