Good day to you!

Do you believe that this day is really made by Him? Do you want to please Him more than any other? Can you do this without being afraid? These are some questions I have been asking this morning. See, my parents are living in another state and have physical needs that I cannot fix. They are pretty independant and only ask for me to pray. That I do! However, because I can't see them, doubts come in and fears that I won't be there for them when they really need me.

Correction on focus is what I need for myself today. If you have aging parents and find your hands as though tied behind your back there is hope. Personally, searching for counsel from God's Word gives me the support I need at this crucial time. What I am finding out is that once again, I have to put my trust in God and not lean on my own understanding. Acknowledge Him and He will direct all my paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. I'll bet you already knew that. I did too, but now is the time to trust in, rely on and cling to this truth. That is believing!

So, when the voice of the enemy breaks into my mind what then do I do? First, I think the best thing I can do is not let my guard down or my mind wander. All I know of today is where I plant my feet, step by step as He shows me where to walk. Today, I feel like if I were to step out of His counsel I might fall and scrap my knees! Here are some scriptures I read today. On this I stand!

Psalm 56:3-4 says, "What time I am afraid, I will have confidence in and put my trust and reliance in You. By [the help of] God I will praise His word; on God I lean, rely, and confidently put my trust; I will not fear. What can man, who is flesh, do to me?"  Do we understand that God is our help? Worthy of praise? Why then do we fear? Whether we are talking about growing old or any trial of the flesh, we are helped by God, if...we praise His Word and trust in Him. He is the solid rock on which we can stand!

Then..."God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7!  Thank you Abba Father for this incredible promise!  My assurance in You at this season of life; dealing with the struggles of my parents and feeling so inadequate; I place at Your feet. Thank you for guarding my mind today Jesus. I will be content to know You have a plan. Thank you that the helmet of salvation is not only mine but thankfully on my parents heads too. I CAN trust You!

Thank you Lord that You are close and You can handle this...Psalm 34:18. Lord You give unyielding and impenetrable strength and peace to Your people...Psalm 29:11. Father thank You that we are called by Your name so when we walk through rivers they will not overflow us. Through the fire and not get burned because You are the Holy One of Israel...Isaiah 43:1-4. We are precious in Your sight!

In view of these Lord, we give praise to You always. No matter how far we think we have to go, or how helpless we feel. Whether it is a heart for loving parents or a child run away; we do not have to be afraid. I praise Your Holy name today Jesus as I take the steps one at time until the day when my feet will leave this earth path. Be our peace today and break down the walls that would keep us from experiencing perfect peace. As we draw close to Your side I pray that others will sense the depth of our relationship. As they see with eyes of flesh I pray that their spirit will desire God. Thank You for being the help that we need at the time we need it. We will wait for You and cling to truth, basking in Your precious and perfect love. Bless those who have come here to share Heartstrings with us. These things I pray, In Jesus name, amen.

Abundance is...I do not need to fear
