 Dear family of God,

Today will you put your trust and confidence in God? You will not be put to shame, or disappointed as you call on Him.

Regardless of the twists and turns on our journey we have this sure thing. Our Rock of Salvation. Psalm 31:3 says, "Yes, You are my Rock and my Fortress; therefore for Your name's sake lead me and guide me."

I am praying for my children and grandchildren this morning and bringing each one to the Lord. When I think of all the challenges this generation has in training their children, wow! Too many broken people trying to lead others.

In Matthew 7:24 we read Jesus words about building our house on the Rock and not sand. "So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock."

What is your house built on? I know I had to move off of the sinking condition my soul was built on. The example Jesus gives is logical and true in the physical as well as the spiritual. You have seen homes on cliffs washed away into the raging current of sudden flood. Let's not be caught off guard. Much loss will come.

In praying I wanted to be able to tell my family some hard facts. Romans 8:37-39 will help them when that tide is rising. "Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.

"For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,

"nor height nor depth, nor anthing else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Oh, I want them to grasp the full meaning of this! We can depend on God to carry us! Plain and simple. He will not ever leave the ones who belong to Him and call on His name.

Also, in 1 Corinthians 2:9..."What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keep ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed.]"

How can they know the riches of His love if they haven't come to Him? This is my prayer! For them to love God and follow all His ways.

Our society wants everything brought to them quickly. There is no patient endurance even while waiting for a meal to be prepared. Too much complaining and not enough gratitude! Too many things to distract from drawing near to God. In my own life I have found this to be true. I am so sorry Lord for making others and stuff and things first in line to my heart.

Help me Lord to be an example of standing on The Rock. May all my loved ones, young and old, see a clear way to climb up beside me. I long to share the goodness of Father God with them. To celebrate Jesus as Lord and King over our lives.

We can begin today! Psalm 78:4 says, "We will not hide them from their children, but we will tell to the generation to come the praise-worthy deeds of the Lord and His might, and the wonderful works that He has performed."

Begin by sharing! It has become a matter of fact when talking to my family; speaking the name of the Lord. Jesus just becomes part of the conversation...and they know I am praying for them. Praise the Lord for changing my life from selfishness to giving.

I read Psalm 71 this morning while preparing to share with you. It is titled; "Prayer for the aged." I do believe I qualify! Whoever wrote this Psalm knew how to take refuge in God. The plans of the enemy are plain and yet there is hope. Then, it is time to speak up and praise the Lord for all He has done in keeping us from the time of birth to the present.

I know this is a bit long today, but let me share one more scripture from Psalm 86:11-12. It says, "Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk and live in Your truth; direct and unite my heart [solely, reverently] to fear and honor Your name.

"I will confess and praise You, O Lord my God, with my whole (united) heart; and I will glorify Your name forevermore." Yes Lord. Amen!

So, as you bring your loved ones before the throne of God, remember that you are standing in the presence of Mighty God. Build your house on that! Let Jesus Be Your Rock! God bless you in the matchless name of our soon returning King, amen.

Abundance is...The Solid Rock
