 Dear brothers and sisters,

I pray you are well in spirit and have great peace of mind as you go about your day. Have you experienced God's limitless and abundant mercy and grace? Do you want to know Him? We are given so many gifts as His children.

We find promise after promise from the Father everytime we pick up His Word. My Bible is my best place and I am feeling pressed to lean in and see what God thinks about the things that concern me. We do have many don't we? Relationships are the most important to succeed in. My responses to others either shows that God is at work in my life or just the opposite. It only takes the things that I am dwelling on to roll off my tongue and bring life or death.

Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]."As we are learning to trust and obey the Lord in all things, I think this is a weapon for good or evil. Which will I choose?

Psalm 86:5 says, "For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive [our trespasses, sending them away, letting them go completely and forever]; and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You." We have to keep in touch with the Father and continually be aware that our fallen nature needs to be redeemed daily.

The meaning of the word redemption is to purchase a slaves freedom. Can you picture yourself in chains, heading to the lions when all of a sudden a man stands up and says, "Wait, I want this one!" Now, you know what the thief on the cross beside Jesus experienced. Freedom from eternal death! Jesus paid the price for you today!

I have been reading this morning about Moses. You know the guy in the old testiment who was face to face with God? He just couldn't get past the fact that God called him to speak to Pharoah on behalf of his fellow Hebrews. He complained that he couldn't talk well enough, gee God, can you get someone else attitude. It made God angry but he said okay.

After Moses and his brother Aaron went to the Hebrew slaves and told them that God would set them free from their captivity, they were all for it. Until Pharoah heard and so piled on more to their labors. Then, they turned against Moses, complaining he really blew it, "just let us be". The plot thickens with miracles, signs and wonders. All the while God was in control.

This wasn't about Moses though. It was about God and what He wanted to do. I think in the mass of people; thousands, there had to have been a remnant of believers. As a representative, you would think God could have picked a better guy. Someone built like King Saul for instance, a strong warrior and very confident...well, you remember how that went? Basically you can go made without the influence of God in your life!

Today, trying to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ may seem daunting. Do you agree? My world is pretty small in comparison to others. I am home and delight in that. But, even when talking with family, it can be like talking to the wall. Sad. Sad to me and really sad for them. To think that they choose to believe the lie that they are okay before God because...whatever. Just have to keep praying, a lot.

We know as followers of Christ how much we ourselves have sinned. We fight our flesh everyday, right? Go back to Proverbs 18:10 to see, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong." Praise the Lord! Salvation means to be rescued from danger. If you are feeling like you are in danger of sinning again and again, then seek God and speak His name, the name of Jesus and be saved, safe above the evil lurking around you. We have to hang out in the tower of the Lord. (verse 20)...Our conscience integrity and sincerity with Him is the kind of righteousness the Lord rewards.

I guess what I am trying to say is, if, If we really know our hearts belong to Jesus Christ, then we must keep sharing and let God take our tongues and help us to speak for His glory. You know how the story goes with Moses. It turns out pretty interesting and so like people today. The things we complain about! When right above us is the pillar of smoke by day and the pillar of fire by night. Who are we going to trust then? WE all need the Lord! Plain and simple.

Well, though I stumble with my words, my thoughts racing faster than my fingers can type, I know I have to trust the Spirit of God to say what He wants. The Holy Spirit will speak just what we need to hear today. It is up to us to listen. I am blessed to share Heartstrings with you day after day. At this time we have that freedom. We don't know how long it will last, but we must share Jesus Christ with as many as we can.

Let's make Psalm 86:11 our prayer..."Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk and live in Your truth; direct and unite my heart [soley, reverently] to fear and honor Your name." In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Abundance is...as we call, He answers
